Jagan joined the University of Glasgow as a Lecturer in Composites Engineering in 2025. Jagan’s research focuses on data-driven and physics-based modelling of composites for mechanical performance investigating impact loading, fracture, damage mechanics and process modelling. He completed his PhD on Advanced numerical methods for modelling impact in composite materials at the University of Bristol, as a part of Rolls-Royce Composites University Technology Centre. Jagan held an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship on data-driven modelling of composite mechanics and was awarded an EPSRC IAA grant on process modelling. Jagan’s current research is aimed at developing data-driven methods to analyse how process simulation can be employed to minimise manufacturing defects and enhance automation, as well as how processing behaviour such as consolidation influence structural mechanics. Among the data-driven methods, the focus is on model-order reduction and machine learning. Email: [email protected]
