Jiahui Zhao completed his MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2023, with his thesis focused on designing and prototyping multi-layered triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) for ocean wave energy harvesting. This work earned him the Graeme Orr Energy Award. Jiahui commenced his PhD at the University of Glasgow in December 2023, where his research project aims to experimentally investigate the relationship between flexoelectricity and triboelectricity.
