Yanmei graduated from the China University of Geosciences with a Civil Engineering degree and was later awarded an MSc degree in the University of Manchester in Structural Engineering. She joined the research group in 2018 and her PhD project focuses on interfacial shear stress between single glass fibre and matrix in composite. She works on single fibre fragmentation test(SFFT) and numerical simulation of the SFFT by using ABAQUS. Her simulation work will make it easier to estimate interfacial shear strength between single glass fibre and matrix.
